Role Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, order necessary diagnostic tests, and develop tailored care strategies
- Diagnose and manage acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions alongside physicians or autonomously as warranted
- Educate patients and families on wellness practices, preventive measures, and chronic disease management
- Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions per your practice scope
- Participate in ongoing patient follow-ups and chronic care supervision
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centric care
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications or ability to secure them within 90 days
