Maintenance Controls Technician I

Job Overview: The Controls Technician will engage in essential tasks associated with production machinery, focusing on troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues. This role is crucial in monitoring equipment and providing valuable feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor as necessary.
Highlights of Your Role:
- Collaborate closely with the Maintenance Supervisor, sharing insights and suggestions before executing any control changes, such as wiring adjustments or programming updates.
- Observe the operation of installed equipment to identify hazards, problems, and service needs.
- Develop skills in PLC Programming and navigate the necessary systems effectively.
- Utilize the work order system (EAM) efficiently to document repairs and perform preventive maintenance throughout the facility.
- Diagnose issues using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
- Maintain backups of software programs from all electrical devices.
- Skillfully use a digital multimeter for troubleshooting.
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to assist in resolving electrical problems.
- Accurately document set-points and parameters for the equipment.
You're a Good Fit If You Have (or Can):
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Hold an Associate's degree in a technical discipline (strongly preferred).
- Be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform certifications.
- Demonstrate experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Recognize that recent disciplinary actions (within the last 6 months) may impact eligibility for this opportunity.
