Regional Sales Representative

A privately held, growth-oriented steel service center with over three decades of success is actively seeking a Regional Sales Representative to help drive growth in Eastern Tennessee. With recent investments in new facilities and infrastructure, the company is expanding its national footprint-and looking for a seasoned sales professional to lead the charge in this region.
The company specializes in the distribution and processing of flat-rolled steel products, including hot rolled, cold rolled, and coated materials. Its customer base spans industries such as automotive, construction, agriculture, furniture, and mining.
What You'll Do:
- Leverage your existing customer relationships and industry knowledge to drive new business and expand share in the region.
- Manage the full sales cycle-from quoting and negotiation to delivery and follow-up.
- Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with customers and prospects.
- Partner with internal operations to ensure smooth fulfillment and service execution.
- Track competitive trends and market movement to inform strategy and pricing.
- Represent the company at customer visits and key industry events.
- Proven B2B sales success in steel, metals, or industrial distribution, with a diverse book of flat-rolled business.
- Strong understanding of coil and sheet products (hot rolled, cold rolled, galvanized, etc.).
- High-level communication, negotiation, and follow-through skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: thrives in a less structured, low-bureaucracy environment where decisions are made quickly and reps are empowered.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage a regional territory with minimal oversight.
- Willingness to travel as needed throughout Eastern Tennessee.
