Job Summary

Join our mission to provide high-quality, kitchen-prepared meals for pets as an Area Manager. This dynamic role involves overseeing multiple Kitchens and Pantries, ensuring operational excellence, driving customer satisfaction, and fostering a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-unit management role, capable of traveling to various locations to support and guide teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

  • Directly manage Nutrition Sales Consultants and Kitchen Leaders, providing coaching, training, and development to achieve performance goals.
  • Collaborate with HRBP and Recruiters to recruit, hire, and train new team members.
  • Approve and manage staff schedules, ensuring alignment with business needs across multiple locations.
  • Serve as a role model for company values, setting a positive tone and culture across all units under your leadership.
Sales and Customer Service:
  • Ensure Nutrition Sales Consultants deliver exceptional customer experiences by understanding dietary needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Oversee merchandising and product display standards across all Kitchens and Pantries to maximize customer engagement and sales.
  • Address customer concerns promptly, transforming challenges into opportunities to build loyalty.
Marketing:
  • Develop and execute local B2C and B2B marketing strategies (in coordination with HQ efforts) to drive store traffic and sales in all locations.
Operations:
  • Ensure all locations adhere to safety, cleanliness, and product quality standards.
  • Manage and approve supply orders for marketing materials and ingredients to maintain seamless operations.
  • Coordinate with Assistant Managers, Guest Experience Managers, and Team Leads to oversee deliveries, backroom inventory, and client services.
  • Address operational challenges (e.g., equipment failure, inventory issues) by collaborating with the COO and Facilities Coordinator to resolve them efficiently.
Finance:
  • Meet or exceed monthly budgets for multi-location profitability, identifying root causes and corrective actions for any missed targets.
  • Ensure secure cash handling practices across all units.
Other:
  • Effectively implement strategic initiatives and provide consistent support for change management.
  • Deliver weekly and monthly performance reports to teams, leadership, and executive stakeholders.
Competencies and Qualifications
  • Proven ability to manage, lead, and motivate teams in a multi-unit environment.
  • Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate a wide range of activities simultaneously.
  • Passion for retail, nutrition, and pets, coupled with a commitment to delivering unparalleled customer experiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Adaptability to change in a rapidly growing business environment.
Education and Experience
  • At least one year of experience as a General Manager in the retail, hospitality, or restaurant industry.
