We are looking for a Tax Analyst - Compliance to ensure the accurate and timely process for the client's Annual Compensation payouts for their regulated and non-regulated companies.

Location: Lake Mary, FL 32746 - Hybrid
Position: Tax Analyst - Compliance
Pay: $31.43/hr. on W2
Duration: 5 months or longer
Hybrid in office Weekly on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Shift: This position is standard 9-5pm. Weekend work may be required during Year End.
Targeted Years of Experience: 3-5 years
Responsibilities:
Your work will have a direct impact on our reported financial results and ensure compliance with internal controls and external legislation. You will ensure the accurate and timely process for our Annual Compensation payouts for our regulated and non-regulated companies.

You will also ensure accuracy and compliance with IRS and state regulations prior to final Form W-2 distribution to employees and submission to taxing authorities.
In this position you will also:
  • Conduct tax validations for diverse compensation payouts, including:
  • Short-Term Incentive (STI) Payouts: Ensuring accurate withholding and reporting for performance-based annual bonuses.
  • Validating the correct calculation and reporting of the imputed taxable income associated with executive life insurance premiums.
  • Corporate Profit Sharing (CPS) Distributions: Confirming the appropriate tax handling and reporting for non-qualified deferred compensation distributions based on corporate performance.
  • Cash Settled Stock Together Payouts (STP): Performing extensive validation for taxable income resulting from the vesting or disposition of company stock awards, ensuring compliance with complex equity compensation tax rules. This includes verifying the calculation of ordinary income components and the timing of taxation.
  • Support Form W-2 validations for both Test and Production cycles.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • A Bachelor's degree. (MANDATORY)
MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience with multi-state and local taxes.
  • Experience working with state and local jurisdictions for tax account updates.
  • Knowledgeable navigating 3rd party tax applications, i.e. ADP, CIC+.
  • Experience with HRMS and Payroll processing responsibilities and system applications-PeopleSoft and/or Workday preferred.
  • Intermediate Excel.
Even better if you have:
  • Understanding of the end-to-end Payroll functional processes as well as how the payroll functional processes integrate with the overall end-to-end Payroll Tax processes.
  • Strong customer service skills (both verbal and written).
  • Good organizational, time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously.
  • Willingness for flexible scheduling to meet processing demands.
  • Strong sense of urgency, proactive approach, and a solid focus on results.
  • CPP or FPC.
