Interim Senior Accountant

Interim Senior Accountant - Birmingham, ALPay: $45-50/hr | On-site | Project-BasedWe're partnering with a Birmingham-based client seeking an Interim Senior Accountant to support corporate accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong GL experience who can jump in quickly and keep close activities running smoothly.What You'll Do:

• Handle monthly/quarterly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month-end close and prepare financial reports for leadership
• Assist with budgeting/forecasting data and variance analysis
• Prepare audit schedules and ensure GAAP and internal control compliance
• Recommend process improvements across reporting and workflows

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance required, CPA is preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on accounting experience, particularly with month-end close and account reconciliations
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment
