Vaco is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager Consultant to join our team in Birmingham, AL. This consulting engagement offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and collaborative team, contributing to the success of our clients by providing expert accounting support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Oversee general ledger accounting, including reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Implement and maintain robust accounting systems and internal controls.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and support to clients.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Utilize advanced ERP and other accounting systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager, preferably in a consulting capacity.
• Strong background in general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
• Advanced technical skills, including proficiency with ERP systems and other accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
