Description

Our New Albany client is seeking an Extrusion Operator.

Position Summary: The Extrusion Operator is responsible for performing all duties associated with extruding. This includes setting up or directing the setup of materials, adjusting machine settings, conducting operator preventative maintenance, and ensuring quality control.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operating Extrusion Machines: Responsible for operating extrusion machines that shape and manipulate thermoplastic materials. This includes setting up the equipment, monitoring production, and ensuring smooth operation.
  • Material Mixing: Mixes thermal plastic materials to feed into the machinery, ensuring consistent quality in the final product.
  • Quality Control: Ensures production output meets client and customer expectations in terms of weight, shape, size, and thickness.
Education/Skills:
  • Prior experience with extrusion or molding machines required (1-2 years min).
  • Equivalent to high school graduation from an accredited four-year institution (preferred).
  • Able to understand and implement oral and written instructions.
  • Proficient in maintaining accurate written records.
  • Basic computer/ERP skills. Capable of performing simple mathematical calculations
Physical Requirements:
  • Must have the physical ability to perform assigned duties safely and efficiently.
  • Good eyesight for detecting differences in textures and colors.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Schedule/Pay:
  • DayShift - Mon-Wed/Thur Rotate 6 am-6 pm/6 am -2:30 pm Thurs Rotate 18$/hr
