We are currently hiring Production Supervisors for our 34th Avenue manufacturing plant in Albany, Oregon. The Production Supervisor will support a 24/7 operation and may periodically have some off shift responsibilities. The primary shift for this position is dayshift, Monday through Friday, and will support the Raw Materials, Warehouse, and Shipping/Receiving operations. The Production Supervisor is a thought leader, a facilitator and a master problem solver. The Production Supervisor will lead processes and strategies to ensure that we are achieving conformance and producing quality product that meets our customer requirements and ATI goals and objectives.The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading teams of 10-20 direct reports with diverse personalities. You are responsible for training, coaching, motivating, and leading the production workforce to ensure safe and efficient operation of the production areas to produce high quality material. In order to become successful and provide immediate impact, you will have to quickly learn ATI and its processes and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including a unionized workforce, engineering, quality, and safety. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, a continuous improvement mindset, the ability to act quickly and make impactful decisions, and exceptional interpersonal skills are included in the skillset of a successful Production Supervisor.Primary Responsibilities Continue building a team environment that fosters a culture of Safety and Quality as the foundations of what we do.Plan and direct department activities to obtain safe and efficient operations.Apply Leadership skills to lead, motivate and train personnel.Monitor processes and tasks in order to identify problems and improvement opportunities.Manage flow through shop and support other departments related to receiving, scheduling trucks, shipping, and material storage.Identify, plan and lead improvement activities for efficiency and effectiveness.Facilitate and support cross functional problem solving teams.Interpret and enforce policies while maintaining the provisions of the labor agreement.Apply the Task Standardization Process to assigned areas as well as to unplanned incidents required to prevent recurrence.Write new and correct existing documents to reflect current work practices.Establish systems for production management to sustain production goals with minimal intervention.Monitor and coordinate training to ensure tasks are completed as required by standard work and work instructions.Ensure strict adherence to both internal and external customer requirements and production schedules. RequirementsBasic Qualifications 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or in a heavy industrial environment. Preferred A Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or related field is preferred. Supervisory experience in a union environment is highly preferred.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.High attention to detail.Experience in Oracle managing inventory transactions and procurement processProficiency of Microsoft Office Software Suite, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Experience with LEAN manufacturing practices and continuous improvement concepts.PSM systems knowledge as well as management of change experience.
