Join our dedicated team as a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer We are seeking a highly skilled professional with a passion for maternal fetal health and ultrasound technology.

Location: UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central, Colorado Springs, CO

Department: UCHlthMG MFM

Work Hours: Part Time, 0.5 FTE (40.00 hours per pay period, two weeks), Day Shift

Pay: $40.40 - $56.56 per hour, commensurate with experience

Summary:

In this role, you will perform sonography procedures following established standards, policies, and values of our organization. Your expertise will contribute significantly to patient care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review patient histories and physician orders, and facilitate scheduling.
  • Educate patients about procedures and ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within your scope of practice.
  • Continuously monitor patient conditions, reacting to changes as needed.
  • Prepare and operate imaging equipment, selecting exposure factors and parameters accurately.
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control on equipment.
  • Analyze imaging results for quality assurance and address any issues promptly.
  • Input, transmit, and report scan results, and collaborate with Radiology students as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
  • Licensure/Certification: Must be registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by ARDMS, or certified by ARRT. State licensure if required. BLS certification required.
  • Experience: While no experience is required, Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography experience is highly preferred.
  • BLS certification must be valid for at least sixty days from the start date.
