Description Location: UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central, US:CO:Colorado Springs Department: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for Maternal Fetal Medicine FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $60.00 per hour plus travel package/stipend LOCAL Traveler contract options available for candidates residing within 75 miles. 13 week assignments are available, with options for extension. Minimum Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program. Minimum one year of experience in the field. Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State licensure if required by law. BLS certification - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with card in-hand before start date. Responsibilities for Sonographers: Reviewing patient histories, physician's orders, and handling scheduling. Educating patients about procedures and ensuring their understanding and cooperation. Continuously monitoring patient condition and responding to any changes as necessary. Selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implementing safety standards and conducting quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshooting issues and reporting equipment malfunctions. Positioning patients and performing imaging procedures, analyzing results, and identifying quality concerns.
