Position Name: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Windsor Locks, CT (Onsite Only)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tooling & Fixturing:
  • Evaluate current tooling and fixturing challenges within production operations.
  • Develop and execute plans to resolve these challenges, documenting solutions for future reference.
  • First Article Inspection (FAI):
  • Provide comprehensive support for FAI activities across various products, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Review and enhance Solumina work instructions for clarity and efficiency.
  • Track assembly turnback activities, leverage CORE tools to perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with Solumina or similar MES platforms.
  • Familiarity with CORE tools or equivalent problem-solving methodologies.
  • Proven expertise in tooling and fixturing within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • US Person required due to ITAR restrictions.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
Machinist, Machining operations and methods
  • Demonstrated success in supporting FAI activities.
  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
