Your Role and Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough patient exams, ordering vital tests, and creating personalized care plans to meet individual health needs
- Diagnosing various health issues, whether acute, chronic, or episodic, working collaboratively or independently as your credentials allow
- Teaching patients and their families about preventative care, wellness strategies, and effective disease management techniques
- Prescribing necessary medications and therapies according to established guidelines
- Engaging in follow-up processes and managing chronic conditions effectively
- Working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver cohesive, comprehensive care
- Accurately recording and managing patient data within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Kansas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialization
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capable of acquiring these within 90 days)
- A blend of strong clinical judgment and compassionate patient interactions
