Your Key Responsibilities
- Executing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and developing bespoke care strategies
- Identifying and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions independently or in concert with physicians (based on your credentials)
- Instructing patients and their families on prevention, wellness practices, and disease management
- Authorizing medications and therapies, adhering to your professional scope
- Engaging in follow-ups and chronic care management for patients
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, integrated care
- Maintaining precise and detailed records within electronic medical records (EMR)
- An MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) or DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice)
- Completion from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure for the state of Kansas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS), as well as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Robust clinical expertise paired with a caring bedside approach
