Department: Sheriff
Grade: 130
Salary: $20.00/hour
Job Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks and data entry associated with the processing of warrants, writs, extraditions, and judgements in the Fugitive Apprehension Unit.
- Prepare travel information and communicate details on inmates being extradited from police departments, sheriff departments, national and state penal institutions.
- Verify active warrants with police and sheriff departments nationally and statewide by phone and/or computer systems.
- Communicate by phone and/or electronically with various law enforcement agencies, attorneys, court personnel, bondsmen, probation officers, prosecutors, public defenders, city and county jails, penal institutions, federal agencies, complainants, and the general public.
- Must have a High School diploma or GED.
- One year of experience in an office, business, or a related field.
- Must possess/maintain appropriate certifications for assigned department.
- Depending on the needs of the assigned department, certification as a Notary Clerk may be required.
- Must submit to/pass background check and drug screen.
