SUMMARY OF POSITION:

At minimum, the Level I Cardiovascular Technologist is responsible for assisting the physician(s) with all routine scheduled diagnostic and interventional, and emergent adult procedures. Primary clinical roles include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring/recording during cardiovascular and peripheral procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Graduate of an approved Cardiovascular Program; or 2 years of Interventional Cardiac Catheterization lab experience; or Graduate of an approved RT Program

• BLS and ACLS certification required within 6 months from date of hire.

• PALS certification required within 12 months from date of hire.

• Must possess or obtain RCIS, CI, or VI certification with the within 24 months from date of hire.
