Guest Service Manager

General Purpose:
Guest Services is the first point of contact for all guests on property. Ensuring the guest has been greeted warmly and provided with all information needed is critical. As the Director of Guest Services, your role is to provide and maintain an overall positive guest experience. The Director of Guest Services position assists Head Golf Professional (HGP) and General Manager (GM) in ensuring all staff execute proper policy and procedures while giving excellent guest service.
Essential Duties:
• Leads all staff in following and performing proper procedures, communicating any and all issues with the General Manager.
• Ensures customer satisfaction and positive relations through daily interaction with all guests.
• Communicate inclement weather and unsafe conditions to guests.
• Delivers and promotes prompt, courteous and friendly service to all guests and employees.
• Assists in preparation and maintaining cleanliness and organization of indoor and outside areas, around the putting green and range tee areas/proshop.
• Deliver excellent service to all guests.
• Works in conjunction with the GM and HGP, practicing positive communication and teamwork
• Operating, maintaining and cleaning of range baskets/balls, and other equipment in a safe manner
• Expected to arrive on time, in uniform attire, with a positive attitude.
• Assists with training of guest service employees and holds them accountable in their assigned duties
• Assist in activities on property or special events
• Assists with range preparation, including picking the range and washing/pepping balls for us
• Assists in securing of all assets on property and maintaining a safe environment for employees and guests
• Assists in the daily reconciliation of cash deposits and ensures proper cash handling from all staff throughout the day.
• Reports any damaged, broken or misused equipment to the General Manager as soon as possible; records the damage on the company's accident form.
• Reports any accidents or incidents to GM as soon as possible and follows insurance and workman comp protocols at all times.
Job Requirements/Working Conditions
• Must have the ability to stand/walk throughout the duration of the shift for 8+ hours working in all weather conditions.
• Excellent guest service skills.
• Service minded and willing to take extra steps to enhance the member experience
• Proficient with point of sale, general computer skills, and answering of phones
• Must have a strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.
• Adhere to all the opening and closing duties.
• Available to work a flexible shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
• Exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
• Able to meet and perform physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
• Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.
• Lifting to 50 pounds, including but not limited to two rental club sets, range ball baskets (300 balls).
• Continuous standing and walking.
