Description
- Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized testing and careful observation.
- Create tailored treatment plans that address immediate objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrated on various aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to formulate integrated care plans.
- Educate patients and their families to continue progress beyond clinical visits.
- Support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Keep precise and timely records in compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaboration with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-supported treatment techniques for individuals across all ages, with a comprehensive grasp of speech, language, and swallowing disorders, both developmental and acquired.
- Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
