Position Highlights
  • Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized methods and observational assessments.
  • Create individualized treatment strategies tailored to both short and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
  • Deliver one-on-one speech therapy sessions with targeted interventions for communication, language skills, fluency, and swallowing issues.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide education to patients and their families to promote ongoing improvement beyond therapy.
  • Occasionally conduct inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
  • Keep thorough, precise records compliant with all state, federal, and agency regulations.
  • Engage in continued professional development and peer collaboration to stay ahead in the field.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not already ASHA-certified.
Licensure & Certifications
  • Must hold state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

  • Adeptness in evidence-based treatment methods for a variety of ages and conditions, alongside a deep understanding of developmental and acquired disorders.
  • Strong communication skills that reach beyond technical jargon to connect meaningfully with patients and families.
  • Flexibility to modify therapies based on diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capacity that enhances clinical judgments.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation practices.
