Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a crucial role as a caregiver, providing compassionate, resident-centered nursing care and assistance with daily living activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering age-appropriate care tailored to the physical and psychological needs of residents.
- Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Recording vital signs and providing psychosocial support.
- Facilitating resident mobility through safe transfer and repositioning techniques.
- Ensuring a positive dining experience by assisting with meals and snacks.
- Documenting resident interactions and communicating any changes in condition to the charge nurse.
- Collecting non-invasive specimens and maintaining cleanliness in residents' living areas.
- Encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum age of 16 years, with prior experience in long-term care preferred.
- Must possess a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Completion of yearly competency testing and 12 hours of continuing education each year.
