Advocate Health is excited to invite applications for the role of Surgical Technologist I in our General Specialty Evening Shifts. We are located at Aurora St Lukes Medical Center, 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215. Your Role:

• Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient operating room environment for optimal patient care.
• Utilize aseptic surgical techniques to prepare materials, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Assist in various surgical procedures by anticipating the Surgeons' needs, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
• Set up operating rooms efficiently, moving and managing equipment as needed.
• Function as a Second Assistant and support the surgical team as necessary.
• Transport patients and equipment, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Maintain specialty carts and check equipment for sterility and functionality.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care for patients.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Working Conditions:

• This full-time role requires evening shifts, with the possibility of being on call during the night and weekends.
• Physical requirements include lifting, pushing, pulling, and a range of motion to assist in patient care and equipment management.
