As a Pediatric Dietitian in the Obesity/Bariatric Clinic, you will play a crucial role in formulating and implementing nutrition therapy for patients at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. You will have the chance to collaborate with various healthcare professionals while embodying our mission, vision, and values.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Developing and executing comprehensive pediatric nutrition therapy plans, ensuring all documentation complies with established guidelines.
- Performing nutrition assessments and identifying specific nutrition needs for neonates to adults.
- Monitoring and managing nutrition-related data, including growth metrics and dietary needs.
- Providing age-appropriate nutrition education and counseling to patients and their families.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and support.
- Identifying resources for nutritional supplies and assisting families in accessing them through community programs.
- Utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance nutritional outcomes and patient engagement.
- Demonstrating commitment to personal professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics; Master's preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience as a registered dietitian.
- Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- State licensure as a Dietitian/Nutritionist.
Skills You Should Have:
- In-depth knowledge of pediatric nutrition and medical nutrition therapy.
- Critical thinking and effective communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
