Financial Aid Disbursements Manager

Join our team as the Financial Aid Disbursement Manager and help ensure students receive the funds they need to succeed. In this key role, you'll oversee districtwide aid disbursements, refunds, and Title IV cash management while ensuring full regulatory compliance. You'll lead a dedicated team, manage essential financial systems, and support accurate, timely delivery of student aid. Typical Duties:
  • Serves Students. Coordinates and manages the 3rd-party BankMobile disbursement system on behalf of AWC. Keeps an administrator role in the system and for testing and implementing new and existing procedures. Trains new employees Districtwide and serves as the main point of contact. Transmits various required files through SFTP to BankMobile. Produces various BankMobile reports and serves as the main contact for troubleshooting. Oversees the refund process and makes sure all refund files are transmitted timely and accurately.
  • Counsels and reviews with students their accounts and financial aid disbursement status as needed. Oversees the processing and disbursement of student refunds and financial aid awards by following federal, state, local, and private guidelines and verify the accuracy of documentation.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in accounting, business, finance or mathematics AND two years of experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems, AND two years of experience in using comprehensive student or financial information systems, AND professional experience with MS Excel, Ellucian Colleague or another comprehensive student software, in reconciling accounts, data sets, or financial reports, in interpreting and applying policies and procedures to meet federal, state, or local compliance requirements.

    OR
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or mathematics AND four years of experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems or other Computerized Education System, AND professional experience with MS Excel, Ellucian Colleague or another comprehensive student software, in reconciling accounts, data sets, or financial reports, in interpreting and applying policies and procedures to meet federal, state, or local compliance requirements.

  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved may be considered.
Salary: $57,955- $61,432 per year, depending on experience.
