Desktop IT Support Analyst
Job Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for desktop hardware and software to all employees, including remote locations.
- Coordinate the ordering, receiving, inventory management, assembly, integration, checkout, delivery, and installation of PC-related hardware and software.
- Configure and maintain standard desktop setup options to support routine computer operations.
- Coordinate and track orders for required computer equipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure all equipment is ordered through approved purchase orders and verify expected delivery dates.
- Inspect equipment upon delivery to confirm it is received in good condition and in accordance with purchase orders.
- Liaise with vendors to resolve delivery issues, damaged equipment, or non-functioning hardware and coordinate replacements or rescheduled deliveries.
- Verify hardware and software shipments against County purchase orders and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to assemble hardware and software components and perform system integration to deliver fully functional standalone computer systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Experience communicating with vendors to coordinate repairs, replacements, or exchanges for defective equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in information technology.
- Hands-on experience configuring, installing, and supporting PCs and related software.
- Experience setting up and configuring network connections to file servers, application servers, and Internet services.
- Experience coordinating equipment delivery, installation, testing, removal, and replacement to ensure systems operate as designed.
