A day in the life.

As our Yacht Client Advisor Team Leader, you will lead a vibrant team, overseeing client advisory efforts and ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service. You’ll maintain a strong focus on client satisfaction, proactively delivering tailored solutions. Collaborating closely with our sales team will be essential, as you’ll manage the assignment of client advisors and facilitate seamless transitions. Your role will emphasize a OnePCS mindset, fostering strong inter-departmental relationships.

You will prioritize building and nurturing connections with Centers of Influence (COIs), leveraging these relationships to enhance our service offerings. Additionally, you’ll oversee forecasting, conduct performance reviews, and address underperformance to keep the team aligned with goals. Strong management of local and regional carrier relationships is crucial, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while supervising the audit process. Client communications, presentations, and involvement in hiring processes to attract top talent will all be part of your responsibilities.

For larger clients, you’ll engage in advisory reviews and assist in resolving complex client or underwriting issues. Your focus will also include team development, training, and succession planning to equip our staff for future challenges. Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve solid financial outcomes and creating business plans that outline goals for referrals, new business, and cross-selling opportunities for Client Advisors will be critical.

You will be responsible for managing reporting requirements weekly, monthly, and quarterly while leading a hybrid workforce. Embracing change and adapting as needed will be essential in reinforcing the Marsh McLennan Agency Private Client Service vision, ensuring clear leadership during transitions.

If your professional background aligns with the following qualifications, we would love to meet you:

  • Yacht insurance experience is a must

  • Experience in personal lines insurance with High-Net-Worth clients

  • A Property & Casualty (P&C) License

  • Client service orientation with a balanced approach to managing expectations

  • Willingness to travel for client and company meetings as required

  • 5+ years of experience in team management preferred

  • 3-5+ years of yacht insurance background with client-facing experience

  • A demonstrated ability to cultivate opportunities from client centers of influence

The applicable base salary range for this role is $81,270 to $151,620. The salary will be determined based on factors like experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Performance-based incentives may also apply.
