We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Administrator to join our team, responsible for maintaining system administration support activities for a large, complex network environment with geographically distributed systems. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems, supporting solutions for system engineering requests, and upgrading and maintaining capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, administer, and troubleshoot systems, applications, and processes, ensuring timely resolution of issues and optimal performance
• Manage and maintain complex server enclaves, including analyzing system scanning reports, patching, cert renewals, vulnerability management assessments, and active directory configurations
• Identify and correct hardware and software issues, responding to system administration, operations, and maintenance problems, and developing re-work solutions
• Create and maintain documentation of complex server/network environments, ensuring clear, concise, and accurate information is readily available for incident resolution
• Collaborate with users and external support personnel regarding system outages and upgrades, and confer with upper management regarding recommended resolution options

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Must have at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Must have experience as a systems administrator providing direct support to end users and technical staff (developers, testers, engineers, etc.).
• Must be proficient with Windows Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019, and Active Directory.
• Must have experience with Linux and Microsoft-based servers and workstations.
• Must have experience with Windows 2019.
• Must have experience with OS and Application Hardening to include DISA, Best Practices, and High Assurance environments.
• Must have experience with software/hardware deployment, patches, and operating systems, and basic system backup and restore functions.
• Must have experience with and/or be familiar with SALT, Ansible, Splunk, Puppet, SolarWinds, Nessus.
• Must have experience with and/or have knowledge of Red Hat 7 and 8, and VMWare.
• Must have experience with Apache Tomcat, IIS, and/or SQL server database.
• Must have experience documenting and providing information for security accreditation and certification.
• Must have a solid understanding of advanced security protocols and standards.
• Must have experience with Network Security Technologies (e.g. Multiple Domain, PKI, SSP, and Vulnerability Assessment).
• Must have experience with High Assurance platforms and application integration testing methods.
• Must have experience with both Client and Server virtualization environments.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and reimaging hardware.
• Must have experience with disk arrays, PowerShell and PowerCLI, KVMs,
• Must have knowledge of PKI systems which use HSMs to validate key and NTP for synchronization.
• Must have experience optimizing system operations.
• Must have a solid understanding of information security principles and practices.
• Must have experience with or familiarity with software and security architectures.
• Must have experience or familiarity with the following systems: Windows/Linux operating systems, VMware, and Networking: Switches, Routers, LANs, & cabling.
• Must be able to support occasional day or short duration travel, if needed.
• Must possess a TS/SCI clearance with appropriate polygraph

MDOPS Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency with SQL Server desired.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
