Description
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across all age groups, utilizing both standardized assessments and personal observations.
- Craft customized treatment plans that encourage both immediate progress and sustainable communication, cognitive, or swallowing achievements.
- Deliver dedicated, individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing fluency, voice quality, and swallowing functions.
- Engage in collaborative strategies with a wide network of healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Empower families and patients through educational resources and continuous support beyond clinical visits.
- Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing seamless continuity in care.
- Uphold meticulous documentation practices in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay informed of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), particularly if not yet certified by ASHA.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in employing evidence-based strategies for individuals at every stage of life, with a thorough understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
