Description
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing standardized assessments alongside observational techniques.
  • Create tailored treatment plans aimed at meeting both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on various aspects including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Work in unison with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and family members to craft synchronized care strategies.
  • Provide guidance and education to patients and families to bolster progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, maintaining a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational protocols.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and peer collaboration to remain at the forefront of the field.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
