CGP: Senior Accountant

Century Group is excited to share a great opportunity for a strong Senior Accountant to join one of our clients in the consumer products industry. Job Description:
- Perform monthly general ledger closing procedures, including account analysis and reconciling sub-ledger activities
- Maintain accurate and appropriate supporting workpapers for month end analysis
- Prepare journal entries, including but not limited to the following: expense accruals, fixed assets, accounts receivable, related A/R and sales reserves, other current assets, and other liabilities
- Perform month end expense cutoff procedures
- Support operational accounting functions (AR/AP) on an as-needed basis
- Assist in supporting the year-end audit and quarterly cutoff
- Assist with retail entity accounting
- Assist in the development and improvement of accounting processes
- Perform analysis over P&L account classification and monthly close flux analysis
- Assist with review of staff accountants journal entries and reconciliations
- Ad hoc responsibilities and reports as needed
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 4+ years in an accounting role
- Mix of public company and public accounting experience preferred but not required
- CPA a plus
- Experience with ERP software, NetSuite is a plus
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiar with internal control systems and procedures
