ROLE OVERVIEW:This is a full-time, customer-facing sales role focused on building relationships, leading meaningful conversations, and influencing positive decisions for customers. No prior insurance experience or license is required to apply - we provide training, licensing support, and ongoing coaching.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys talking with people, is motivated by goals, and wants a long-term career with growth opportunities.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:As an Account Manager with the Megan Spence State Farm Agency, you will work directly with customers to understand their needs, explain insurance options, and guide them toward coverage decisions that align with their goals. You'll help grow the agency by building trust, leading consultative conversations, and helping customers take action.
You don't need to be an expert on day one. We're looking for someone who is confident, coachable, and willing to learn - someone who can influence through education, clarity, and genuine connection.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships that support retention, referrals, and growth
- Lead customer conversations by asking thoughtful questions and clearly explaining coverage options
- Educate customers on insurance products and help them make informed decisions
- Support new and existing customers through phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Learn to confidently present and recommend products to warm and inbound leads
- Collaborate with the team to ensure a positive customer experience from start to finish
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable having consultative, influence-based sales conversations
- Motivated by personal growth, accountability, and performance-based rewards
- Coachable and receptive to feedback and training
- Insurance license not required at hire - licensing support provided
- Prior sales, customer service, or relationship-based experience is helpful but not required
Compensation includes a competitive base salary plus performance-based bonuses, with clear opportunities to increase earnings as you grow in the role.
MORE ABOUT OUR AGENCY & CULTURE:I opened my agency on December 1, 2019, but my career in insurance began earlier. I was licensed at 19 while in college and later transitioned from teaching after discovering a passion for helping people protect what they've worked hard to build. That focus on education, growth, and mentorship continues to shape how we develop our team today.
I'm a proud University of Wyoming alum, married to my husband Logan, and we have a son named Lincoln. Outside of work, we enjoy camping, fly fishing, traveling, and cheering on the Pokes, Broncos, and Bills.
Giving back is a big part of who we are. I volunteer with Central Wyoming Hospice and often bring our family and office dog, Poppy, to visit patients. As an office, we support several local organizations and causes, including donating snow tires for Child Development Center buses, sponsoring the Children's Advocacy Project, supporting Jason's Friends, Relay for Life, Casper Junior Football League, and helping secure a $25,000 grant for Project Kenny in Casper.
If you're motivated, coachable, and excited to grow in a supportive, high-energy environment where your effort truly matters, you'll feel right at home here.
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
