Medical Assistant - Urgent Care - Chestnut Hill, MA
Overview
• Facility Setting: Urgent Care
• Unit/Department: N/A
• Contract: 91 weeks | Start: ASAP | Hours/Week: 36
• Shift: 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 9:30 AM - 8:00 PM | Weekends: Yes | Call: No
Requirements
• License: Massachusetts (Compact: No)
• Certs: BLS
• Experience: Must have ED and Urgent Care experience
• EMR: EPIC
• Compliance: Must have MA Cert and phlebotomy experience
• Locals: Accepted
• RTO Policy: All requests must be presented at time of submission
Responsibilities
• Performs a variety of patient care duties, including EKGs, vital signs, wound care, splinting, and assisting patients with daily activities.
• Assists providers in delivering care and aids patients with physical and psychological limitations.
• Performs phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point of care lab testing according to lab protocols and quality control standards.
• Documents results in the medical record in a timely manner and communicates results to appropriate staff.
• Maintains supply inventory essential for daily operations and stocks medical, surgical, and office supplies.
• Completes regular rounding on all patients, communicates with patients about unexpected delays, and performs additional functions under clinic leadership.
