As a Surgical Technologist I in our General Specialty evening shifts, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care. We invite passionate individuals to be part of our dedicated team at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, located at 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient care.
  • Assist with various surgical techniques, supporting surgeons and maintaining aseptic practices.
  • Set up and ensure the proper functioning of surgical equipment and instruments.
  • Provide assistance as a Second Assistant when necessary.
  • Monitor the operating room environment and report any equipment or supply issues.
  • Transport patients and manage equipment with care and attention.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of patient care related to age-specific needs.

What You’ll Need:

  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • No prior experience needed - we welcome new graduates

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, lifting and maneuvering equipment, and maintaining the physical demands associated with surgical responsibilities.
