Schedule Details: Enjoy full-time evening shifts (8 or 10 hours) with a blend of dedicated call responsibilities. Most of the call slots are overnight with opportunities for weekend call in an 8-week scheduling window. We ensure flexibility and team support, enabling you to manage your workload effectively.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, efficient, and safe environment to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Utilize aseptic surgical techniques in preparing materials, supplies, and equipment for diverse surgical procedures.
  • Assist in creating sterile fields and anticipate the needs of surgeons during operations.
  • Set up the operating room with necessary equipment and return it post-procedure.
  • Transport patients and assist with positioning, adhering to proper lifting techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with the surgical team to address equipment or supply needs.
  • Ensure the readiness and inventory of specialized surgical carts.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months.
  • No prior experience is necessary; a commitment to continuous learning is essential.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Understanding aseptic techniques and operating room equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on excellent customer service.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry weights within specified limits, using proper techniques.
  • Exposed to various hazards and required to wear appropriate protective gear.
