Join us as an Auto Glass Technician Trainee and embark on a career path that leads to becoming a certified auto glass technician. This role offers you the chance to work outdoors, engaging in physical tasks in various weather conditions. If you're looking to start a fulfilling new career, our 3-month paid training program is the perfect opportunity. Your pay will be assessed every six months based on your performance to ensure you are rewarded for your hard work

As a Technician Trainee, you will:

  • Be compensated while you learn the Safelite way through hands-on training and classroom instruction, which includes:
  • Auto glass installation and repair
  • Recalibrating automotive safety systems
  • Providing additional services and products
  • Studying and passing tests to become a Safelite-certified Technician, demonstrating expertise in installations and a positive attitude.
  • Safely operate a company vehicle and utilize company tools throughout your workday.

What you’ll receive:

  • Competitive weekly pay starting at $21.25/hour, increasing to $25.25/hour upon completion of training and certification.
  • Earn additional income for every set of wiper blades sold alongside customer safety
  • A comprehensive benefits package valued at over $10k, which includes a 401(k) plan with company matching, medical plans, paid time off, holidays, and volunteer days.
  • Opportunities to purchase extra PTO or monetize unused time up to 16 hours.
  • Up to $5,250 in annual tuition reimbursement.
  • Paid training and access to all necessary tools and resources for success.

What you’ll need:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A valid state-issued driver’s license is required.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in diverse weather conditions and on your feet for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work scheduled days with flexible start and end times based on customer needs.
  • Ability to lift regularly up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred; must have the ability to read and write.
