About the Role:

At Saint Louis University Hospital, we are committed to advancing patient care through innovative research and collaborative teamwork. We are searching for dedicated Respiratory Care Practitioners (RRT) who thrive in a dynamic academic environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional care.

Job Highlights:

  • Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000 for eligible external candidates
  • Relocation assistance may be available for candidates outside of the metro area
  • Rotating Night Schedule
  • Shift Differentials for nights, weekends, and additional shifts
  • RRT certification is required prior to start date

Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver various therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care procedures.
  2. Implement and monitor therapeutic gas functions and ventilator setups.
  3. Effectively communicate with team members to enhance departmental operations.
  4. Evaluate patient status and therapy responses, ensuring appropriate care adjustments.
  5. Assist in critical situations, including emergency responses and minor procedures.
  6. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment while adhering to infection control guidelines.
  7. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring patient comfort and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved respiratory therapy program.
  • Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and licensed in Missouri within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and make sound clinical decisions.
  • Desire to be an integral part of a supportive and innovative healthcare team.

Physical and Working Conditions:

Ability to withstand a physically demanding work environment, with exposure to various clinical settings, including infectious diseases. Personal protective equipment will be provided and should be utilized as required.
