Job Highlights:
- Eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000
- Work hours: 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
- Enjoy self-scheduling with a requirement of 1 Monday and 1 Friday every 28 days, plus every third weekend
Job Summary: In this role, you will evaluate and care for patients requiring respiratory therapy, administering prescribed treatments that enhance their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients for appropriate therapy types and frequency, developing individualized care plans based on their diagnoses.
- Deliver respiratory care services as per physician orders, departmental policies, and procedural guidelines.
- Monitor, implement, and adjust patient care plans and equipment while maintaining clear communication about patient conditions.
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and ensure medication administration aligns with desired outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about respiratory health conditions, including community resources and support groups.
- Assist in the care, calibration, and maintenance of respiratory equipment, ensuring compliance with cleaning and sterilization protocols.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and rapid responses, maintaining a high level of preparedness.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent experience.
- No previous experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent communication and interaction with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry weights of up to 25 lbs regularly, with occasional movement of up to 50 lbs.
- Visual acuity for identifying colors and recognizing details.
- Effective auditory skills to respond to critical alarms and communication.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) from the American Heart Association.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- State-specific respiratory care practitioner certification.
Work Shift: Night Shift (United States of America)
Weekly Hours: 36
