Baptist Health Urgent Care is actively seeking skilled ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technologists to join our dedicated team.
JOB SUMMARY:
In this role, you will conduct x-ray testing, utilizing your expertise in anatomy and physiology to ensure precise body mechanics and patient movement. You will operate diagnostic equipment, develop films, prepare exam rooms, and perform Medical Assistant duties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities reflect the expectations of this position but are not exhaustive. Additional duties may be assigned:
- Warmly greet patients upon entering the waiting area, exam room, or x-ray room.
- Consistently communicate with patients regarding wait times and guide them on the next steps in their care journey.
- Identify and address patient concerns, escalating urgent situations as necessary.
- Make timely follow-up calls with a strong sense of urgency.
- Support front desk staff with patient check-in/out procedures when needed.
- Accurately obtain and document patient vital signs, medical history, and current medications.
- Assist in patient transfers and provide support during supervised procedures.
- Ensure thorough documentation related to patient visits is completed in a timely manner.
- Perform radiology procedures that contribute to the effective evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
- Conduct quality control procedures to guarantee high-quality examinations.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, strictly adhering to safety protocols and radiation protection measures.
- Ensure diagnostic equipment is functioning correctly, reporting any issues immediately to the Manager or supervising provider.
- Commit to ongoing learning and skill improvement in diagnostic imaging with access to educational resources.
- Maintain current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment.
WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
Full-time positions involve a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule with 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled based on need.
WHAT'S REQUIRED?
High school diploma or equivalent.
BLS Certification.
AR State X-Ray License.
ARRT Certification preferred.
Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
