Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking skilled X-Ray Technologists, both ARRT Radiology and Limited License X-Ray Techs, to join our dynamic team.
JOB SUMMARY:
In this PRN role, you will perform various x-ray tests while utilizing your extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Your responsibilities will include operating diagnostic equipment, developing images, and preparing examination rooms with necessary supplies, in addition to performing Medical Assistant duties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties reflect the expectations for this position and may include additional responsibilities as assigned:
- Warmly greet patients upon arrival in the waiting area, exam room, and x-ray facility.
- Maintain clear communication regarding wait times and guide patients through the treatment process.
- Address patient concerns promptly, especially in emergency situations.
- Execute timely follow-up calls to patients, demonstrating urgency and care.
- Support front desk staff with patient check-in and check-out procedures when needed.
- Accurately obtain and document patient vital signs, history, and relevant medical information.
- Assist with patient transfers and procedures under the direct supervision of a healthcare provider.
- Adhere to documentation protocols and ensure accurate record-keeping for each patient visit.
- Conduct timely radiology procedures for evaluation by the attending physician.
- Perform quality control procedures to guarantee excellent exam outcomes.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, ensuring compliance with safety standards, including radiation protection measures.
- Check functioning of equipment regularly and report any issues to the Manager or provider on duty.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and maintain relevant licensure and certifications.
WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
Full-time team members work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week with 12-hour shifts and every-other weekend. PRN members will receive scheduling based on operational needs.
WHAT'S REQUIRED?
High school diploma or equivalent, BLS Certification, AR State X-Ray License, and ARRT Certification preferred. Experience as a Medical Assistant is a plus.
