Opportunity

IMG is seeking a skilled and proactive System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining IT equipment (laptops, VOIP phones, printers, etc.) and networks, ensuring security compliance, and troubleshooting system issues to keep our infrastructure operating efficiently. This position will perform fiberoptic and CAT 6 installation and ensure they provide professional solutions to customer requests and/or issues.

Strong PC and network cabling experiences are required to support both HQ and customer locations in compliance with CMMC 2.0 and NIST 800-171 standards.

Requirements:

System Administrator Responsibilities and Duties

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware/software issues
• Manage user accounts, access controls, and network permissions
• Implement security policies and manage firewalls, antivirus, and patching
• Maintain backups, disaster recovery plans, and system documentation
• Perform regular system audits and updates to maintain compliance
• Collaborate with IT staff to support end users and ensure high system availability
• Respond to service outages and perform root cause analysis
• Manage virtualization platforms and cloud environments (e.g., VMware, AWS, Azure)
• Support software deployment and infrastructure upgrades
• Implement AI/ML solutions as appropriate to support various business areas
• Travel may be required to support our customer locations (less than 20%)

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience with IT hardware devices including Servers, Switches, Routers, ISPs, UPS, laptops, monitors, VOIP phones, Printers, and Copiers
• Experience with IT software applications including Windows Server, SharePoint, Windows Office 365 Enterprise, and Website management
• Familiar with cable installation, termination, and certification testing of Category 5e, 6, and 6a unshielded twisted pair cable, multimode fiber, and coaxial cables
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Must be willing to travel (NY, PA) on occasion per customer requests
• Ability to resolve issues of moderate complexity
• Technical aptitude to work with end users
• Knowledge and active experience with NIST 800-171
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with CMMI/CMMC processes and compliance standards
• Participates in special projects as required.

Qualifications

System Administrator Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in Windows based environments
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
• Experience with network installation and troubleshooting (fiber, ethernet and wireless)
• Experience with system monitoring tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
• Familiarity with virtualization and cloud technologies
• Familiarity with AI tools such as OpenAI ChatGPT
• Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in system or network administration
• Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified, RHCE) preferred
• Experience managing on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure
• DOD Secret clearance or higher
