Century Group's client, in Irvine, is seeking a skilled and experienced Staff Accounting to support their accounting department. You will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $60,000 to $80,000 per year.

Job Description:

  • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager for account reconciliations and month-end close processes.
  • Maintain organized aging and shortage reports to ensure timely payments from customers.
  • Provide support for monthly bank reconciliation activities.
  • Communicate daily with the operations team to address any invoicing-related issues.
  • Track and address shortages, chargebacks, claims, returns, and other payment errors.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience with Excel, including Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data queries, and workbook data models.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with varying deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and creative thinking
  • Knowledge of GAAP
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 3+ years of accounting experience in a consumer products business
  • ERP experience
