Who You Are:

We’re seeking an experienced Head of Data Architecture & Engineering to spearhead our data engineering, analytics engineering, and business intelligence efforts. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that data is recognized as a valuable asset throughout our organization. You will define the strategic and tactical direction for our data architecture while overseeing vital cross-functional projects that rely on effective data movement, transformation, and governance. You will also prioritize data quality and consistency, promoting the vision of a reliable single source of truth company-wide.

What You'll Do:

  1. Lead and mentor data engineering and analytics engineering teams, from early-career engineers to senior managers.
  2. Drive the technical strategy and architecture within the teams to support data science, analytics, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  3. Identify opportunities and provide expert guidance in designing and implementing data products.
  4. Deliver clear leadership, coaching, and guidance to Data & Analytics Engineering managers and contributors to foster team efficiency and effectiveness.
  5. Establish and operationalize a robust data governance program.
  6. Create a scalable operations model, including a documented roadmap, goals, and objectives.
  7. Build effective cross-functional relationships to understand and fulfill functionality and capability needs.
  8. Guarantee a high level of quality across all projects and initiatives.

What You'll Bring:

  • 8+ years of expertise in data engineering or data architecture, including 4+ years in a management role leading a team.
  • Proficiency with data movement and storage tools such as Snowflake, Fivetran, AWS, dbt, and Tableau.
  • Experience with dbt (or a similar data transformation framework) is required.
  • Familiarity with machine learning operations platforms like Databricks, DataRobot, or Sagemaker is a plus.
  • Experience in a high-growth proptech/fintech company or a similar rapidly evolving enterprise is strongly preferred.
