Software Engineer II- Backend

OverviewOneDrive and SharePoint are rapidly growing services at the center of Microsoft's cloud, interacting with almost every part of Microsoft. You would be a part of a team that is fundamentally changing the way use and interact with the most important content for their home, work, and school. We are looking for a Software Engineer II- Backend. You will be collaborating with a team of amazing engineers and other teams across Microsoft to deliver large scale distributed architecture and features to meet OneDrive and SharePoint's service needs. You will be tasked with improving database and system performance and efficiencies, along with ensuring zero customer impact throughout the change management cycle. You will deliver systems to meet our business continuity planning goals, provide telemetry for optimizing the service and drive down our response time for detecting and resolving service issues. ResponsibilitiesYou will work in large-scale distributed systems that are critical for customers around the world. You will design and deliver services that manage internet-scale data stores, enable best-in-the-world file and site browsing and editing performance, or add innovative features to how people manage and interact with their data. You will contribute to and help shape the vibrant, inclusive engineering culture of OneDrive & SharePoint. You will be expected to do deep, data-driven, collaborative design for additions and changes to our products. You will write clean, efficient code and comprehensive tests. You will build excellent coverage with metrics and telemetry to ensure we understand exactly what is happening with our services at all times. You will deliver features that will support and serve hundreds of millions of customers around the world.
