Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
  • Experience designing, analyzing, and improving the efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to make system changes as needed
  • Experience owning a component, feature, or system
  • Experience in building and shipping high-quality work with high reliability
  • Proficiency in PHP, Hack, and backend development
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Hack
  • Track record of setting technical direction for a team and driving successful cross-functional partnerships
  • Exposure to architectural patterns of large-scale software applications
  • Experience in building unit test coverage
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Design and implement core backend software components
  • Conduct design and code reviews to improve quality
  • Collaborate with other teams and incorporate their innovations
  • Analyze and improve system resource efficiency and stability
  • Review and approve modifications to existing databases and database management systems
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to protect information
