Analyst - Tax Information Reporting

Work Schedule: This role requires a high degree of flexibility. They are looking for someone who is open to working a lot of OT - a minimum of 50 hours per week, and may increase based on business demands.

Tax Operations individuals are critical thinkers who partner with groups across the firm to ensure accurate tax withholding and reporting for the firm and our clients. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse team in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. You will assist in creating and supporting scalable processes to support the firm's global business segments in Global Banking & Markets. You will gain extensive exposure and knowledge of US regulations around Form 1099 series reporting.
Our Impact:
Tax Operations is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the firm's compliance with reporting authorities around the globe and managing related inquiries from a variety of the firm's business segments across Global Banking & Markets. Day-to-day team functions include accurate and timely account documentation and monitoring; withholding; client information reporting; reviewing, and responding to client inquiries around unique tax situations related to client structures and how they are documented to ensure accurate withholding.
Analyst Duties:
* Reviewing and responding to client inquiries with accurate analysis based on the facts, regulatory requirements, and circumstances of the inquiry.
* Providing tax-related operational support to the firm's Investment Professionals, Client Service reps, and clients.
* Reviewing and solving position breaks and cost basis exceptions arising from inconsistencies with upstream data producers.
* Complex corporate actions analysis.
* Ensure data accuracy and integrity of regulatory tax filings.
Basic Qualifications:
* Relevant work experience in Operations, Taxation, Accounting, Auditing, or related field.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to understand complex workflows.
* Results-oriented with the ability to balance time-sensitive projects while maintaining a longer-term, strategic focus.
* Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence senior business stakeholders and make decisions.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Proactive and self-starting individual with a high level of ownership.
* Questioning mindset with an ability to recognize potential risk and flag to managers.
* Flexibility and ability to learn quickly.
* Ability to work across various teams to complete time-sensitive tasks.
* Strong data analysis skills.
* Intermediate/advanced Excel skills essential.
