Senior Product Manager, User Journey Optimization

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Product Manager focusing on User Journey Optimization. In this role, you will empower users to confidently harness and customize Apollo's automations and AI, leading them to continuous engagement, learning, and realization of value. You will play a pivotal role in defining user progression through Apollo, integrating automations, guidance, and lifecycle signals into beautifully personalized and contextual Next Best Actions (NBAs) that enhance engagement and retention.
Your mission will be to revolutionize the way users learn, engage, and grow with Apollo, using personalized recommendations, advanced automation, contextual guidance, and lifecycle re-engagement strategies.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead efforts to deliver dynamic, cross-surface guidance designed to facilitate the adoption of Apollo automations and AI-powered experiences. Working closely with design, data, prompt engineers, and lifecycle marketing, you will craft an integrated system of journey triggers, educational resources, and user progression models that enhance product fluency and long-term retention.
Core Focus Areas:
- Journey & Automation Education: Shape the in-product experience that teaches users how to leverage Apollo and its automations effectively.
- Unified Library Experience: Create a central hub for Plays, Prompts, Templates, and Workflows to streamline learning and discovery.
- Lifecycle Re-Engagement: Design an outbound and Assistant-triggered education system that encourages users to return to high-value automation actions.
- AI Guidance & Recommendations: Collaborate with AI Assistant and Core teams to provide contextual and proactive "Next Best Actions."
- Progressive Mastery Model: Establish frameworks and metrics to track user progression from "Beginner" to "Power User," measuring journey health and ROI.
What You'll Do:
- Define Vision & Strategy: Own and drive the roadmap for Journey Experience & Automation, integrating education and re-engagement into a seamless user journey.
- Activate Lifecycle Intelligence: Partner with teams to establish signals, triggers, and scoring models that personalize nudges and educational content.
- Design the Learning Loop: Collaborate with design to embed contextual education, tutorials, and Assistant states that enhance user comprehension.
- Scale Through Systems: Develop robust architecture for re-engagement, blending Assistant guidance, email campaigns, and in-product actions.
- Drive Evidence-Based Impact: Leverage product data and insights to iterate on features that promote autonomous user growth.
- Partner for Consistency: Collaborate with Activation, AI, and Platform UX teams to ensure a cohesive and intelligent education experience across Apollo.
- Measure and Optimize: Own and refine key metrics related to engagement, activation-to-retention conversion, and usage depth.
What We're Looking For:
- Experienced Senior PM: Extensive experience in leading complex systems around user education and engagement within a B2B context.
- Lifecycle & Automation Fluency: Strong understanding of lifecycle signals and how they drive retention.
- Cross-Team Operator: Proficiency in aligning design, engineering, and marketing around common journey metrics.
- Usability-Driven Thinker: A focus on clarity and user guidance for optimal product mastery.
- Strategic Storyteller: Ability to connect data-driven insights into compelling narratives that influence user growth strategies.
- Customer-Centric: Deep empathy for users' challenges and an unwavering commitment to creating scalable, self-serve solutions for their success.

Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Product Management experience in B2B SaaS.
- Experience with lifecycle, automation, or journey orchestration products.
- Proven capacity to translate behavioral data into engagement systems.
- Familiarity with AI-driven guidance and education UX is a plus.
- Growth mindset coupled with systems-level product thinking.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills.
- Deep empathy for users and a passion for enabling their autonomous success.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt quickly.
The listed Pay Range reflects base salary range. This pay range includes various career levels at Apollo that may be narrowed during the interview process based on experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
Annual Pay Range: $187,000 - $235,000 USD.
