A healthcare network in New York City is currently seeking a new, licensed Gastroenterologist for a promising opportunity at one of their facilities in Manhattan. In this role, the Gastroenterologist will be providing for high-quality clinical care to the patients in the diverse communities that served. About the Opportunity: Department: Clinical Compensation Package: Competitive pay; Medical, vision, and dental insurance; PTO benefits; Paid Holidays; 401k retirement plan; Malpractice coverage; CME time and allowance Including bonuses, total compensation could equate up to $600k Responsibilities: The Gastroenterologist will be responsible for: Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and chronic diseases and conditions in the field of Gastroenterology Prescribing or administering medications, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients Monitoring patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary Providing health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results Referring patients to other medical specialists, when necessary Providing compassionate and empathetic support and advice to patients regarding their health concerns Preparing official health documents or records, when necessary Participating in network activities, such as Provider meetings, Grand Rounds, and training sessions Performing other related duties, as assigned Qualifications: Completion of Internal Residency, Gastroenterology Fellowship and Board / Eligible Certified Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York DEA license Bilingual (English and Cantonese or Mandarin) Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) Solid problem solving and time management skills Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized Your privacy is important to us.
