Procurement Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to enhance our procurement and financial operations. This position involves managing purchase orders, supplier onboarding, invoice reconciliation, and ensuring compliance with company policies. You will work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams to ensure effectiveness and accuracy in procurement and accounts payable processes.

In this role, reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:

  • Reviewing purchase requisitions and issuing purchase orders to suppliers promptly.
  • Verifying supplier invoices against purchase orders and resolving discrepancies.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and addressing invoicing issues swiftly.
  • Generating system reports to manage purchase order match exceptions and receiving status.
  • Initiating new supplier setups and coordinating internal approval processes.
  • Maintaining supplier documentation, including Certificates of Insurance and Terms & Conditions.
  • Collaborating with Finance, Project Management, and cross-functional teams.
  • Supporting month-end and quarter-end purchase order closures.
  • Providing procurement support for smaller projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assisting with additional project support for the Business Unit as needed, including process improvement and SOP assistance.

To excel in this position, candidates should fulfill the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Accounting, or a similar field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Procurement and Accounting, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
    • Familiarity with Workday and Coupa is preferred.
    • Proficient in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office.
  • A strong attention to detail and dedication to accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Outstanding time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively; capable of working both independently and within a team.
  • A self-starter with a proactive problem-solving attitude.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
