Introduction
Join our team as a Senior Procurement Buyer, where you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of purchasing for direct and indirect capital purchases. You will leverage your expertise in electronic purchasing systems and supplier negotiations to drive strategic sourcing initiatives, optimize supplier relationships, and implement best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years of procurement experience in goods and services buying
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Working knowledge of procurement/sourcing and purchasing procedures
- Direct and/or indirect purchasing experience
- Direct negotiation experience
- Knowledge of purchasing systems and eAuction experience
- Capital experience
- Casting and machining knowledge
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong communication skills and a team player
- Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and solve problems
- Deliver on customer needs and conduct competitive bids
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and review purchase requisitions
- Manage supplier communication and understand market trends
- Deal with invoice discrepancies and ensure compliance with strategic procurement
- Engage in project management tasks
