Description - What You'll Do
- Conduct routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests across various disciplines including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and others while adhering to established protocols.
- Evaluate test results for accuracy, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and perform necessary maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
- Assist in specimen collection, preparing samples for testing when required.
- Thoroughly document all laboratory procedures, mentor new staff or interns, and contribute to maintaining high-quality lab standards.
- Ensure a clean, safe work environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation criteria.
- A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, along with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.
- ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of hire.
- Maintain up-to-date certification throughout your employment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration within healthcare teams.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and demonstrate problem-solving capabilities in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, especially concerning quality control and procedural documentation.
