Description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diversified light and heavy assembly of mechanical parts and components for a wide variety of both small and large enclosed drive units.
  • Participate in field service calls to customer locations to tear down and analyze complex enclose drive units.
  • Work from complex drawings and blueprints, sketches; hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical diagrams; parts lists, operations sheets, specifications and instructions to plan work operations, including sequence of work.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Maintain required time, production and quality records
  • Determine and report any inefficiencies, defective materials, unusual conditions and machining issues
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
Position Requirements

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Prefer 3-5 years' experience in a similar capacity
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications required
  • Use and interpret precision measuring instruments
  • Good math, language, reading skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Visual Acuity
  • Physical stamina and strength
  • Some lifting of various weights, both assisted and unassisted
  • Drive and Operate Forklift; may be required
  • Good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills
  • Shop environment, exposed to shop elements
  • May work in tight and/or cramped spaces
  • Walking, standing, lifting, stooping, reaching
  • Handle tools and assemble mechanical components
  • Use crane or other device for heavy lifting
  • Responsible for the safety and clean-up of own area
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
